With display technology evolving at a rapid rate, it is worth considering whether you will want to upgrade to a new TV within a short space of time when considering whether to buy an extended warranty. In most cases, however, an item such as this is bought for the longer term, which is why some people opt to take out extended warranties when they buy an LED TV to give them some protection after the manufacturer's guarantee has run out.
